  • You need an LTC to have your gun in your home or in your vehicle. No, the Castle Doctrine allows you to own and carry a firearm in your home and in your vehicle (must be concealed in vehicle) in Texas.

No, it is not. However, ammunition is required for all course attendees.  You should purchase ammunition at least one week in advance of your course.  **Due to ammunition shortages, we do not supply ammunition to course attendees at this time. Failure to purchase minimum ammunition prior to course may result in removal without refund. **

This course covers the fundamentals and Texas LTC requirements ONLY. To receive training on how to shoot, take for the KRU Pistol Dynamics 1 course prior to taking the LTC course or sign up for the LTC Combo Course.

Yes, we offer courses for youth ages 13 – 19 years old.

  1. Treat all guns like they are loaded
  2. Always keep your gun on safe or in a safe position
  3. Do not place your finger on the trigger until ready to shoot
  4. Do not point your gun at anything you do not want to destroy
  5. Always be aware of your target and what is beyond it.
  6. Never attempt to catch a falling firearm.
  7. Memorize the safety rules on this page.

Shooting Range Requirements

What you need to know about attending a course at the shooting range.
  • Baseball Cap or Hat
  • Hiking Boots or Athletic Shoes [NO OPEN-TOED SHOES OR SANDALS]
  • Crew Neck Shirt or Long Sleeve Shirt [NO TANK TOPS OR CROP TOPS]
  • Comfortable Jeans or Cargo Pants [shorts or tights – acceptable]

Only paid course attendees are permitted to be on site during the course period.
